Assessment for obtaining a certificate:
It is necessary to complete 80% attendance and actively participate in classes to receive a graduation certificate. At the end of the course, there will be a short review of the course material.
For whom: This 20-hour course is intended for learners who have completed Icelandic levels 1 and 2 (A1) or have equivalent knowledge. It is suitable for those who wish to improve their speaking, storytelling, and pronunciation skills in everyday communication.
Objectives: The goal is to develop participants’ ability to converse and narrate in various situations, improve pronunciation, sentence structure, and basic grammar, and expand their vocabulary. Emphasis is placed on using Icelandic actively and building confidence in communication.
The course will cover the following topics: • conversations and storytelling in different contexts, • pronunciation and accent training, • key sentence structures and grammar review, • vocabulary for everyday life and work, • discussions on interesting topics through interactive activities, • diverse teaching methods tailored to participants’ needs.
Additional information: The course is based on real-life communication, listening, and practical exercises. Emphasis is placed on active participation, individual feedback, and learning through meaningful conversation.
